Dr. Cyril C. George holds an LL.B. specializing in Labour Laws, a Ph.D. in Port and
Logistics Management, an M.S.W. in Personnel Management and Labour Welfare,
and an M.B.A. in Human Resource Management.
With over 30 years of experience in the ports sector, he has served in senior
leadership roles at four major Indian ports, including Deputy Chairman and in-charge
Chairman at Mormugao and Chennai Port Trusts, and Secretary and Deputy
Chairman at Cochin Port Trust. He has been instrumental in implementing major
development projects, strengthening industrial relations, and driving administrative
reforms.
Dr. Cyril has chaired several high-level committees under the Ministry and the Indian
Ports Association, notably leading the HR committee whose
recommendations—known as the “Cyril Committee Report”—were adopted by the
Government of India. He played a key role in the successful execution of the ICTT
Vallarpadam project, including negotiating a landmark settlement for employee
transition.
He is also the founder of the Mind Engineering Program and has published over 50
articles in HR, logistics, and port management. A sought-after motivational speaker
and corporate trainer, Dr. Cyril continues to contribute as a consultant and thought
leader in the sector.
